About the Event
The Citywide Youth Service Day is presented by the City of Dallas Police Department, Park and Recreation, and Youth Commission. Join us at Southern Skates Roller Rink! This event-packed Saturday is an opportunity for youth in Southern Dallas to work one-on-one with first responders to build communications and better relationships. Learn how you can work together and make your neighborhood shine bright by completing hands-on service projects. Sign up and you’ll be awarded with 9 community service hours! Youth must be ages 14-18. Together we can help Southern Dallas and its residents thrive and grow. Youth will be matched with a first responder in the morning workshop and then be assigned to a project. Following community service we will have skating & FREE food trucks onsite for all participants.
Schedule of Events 8AM - Breakfast 9 AM - Safe Conversations Workshop - Learn how to easily talk to anyone! 11 AM - Lunch 12 PM - Service projects around the city 5 PM - Fun! Ice Skating, Food Trucks, and more!
