Dallas Youth Creative Writing Spotlight

Created by writer Zoe Helms, a junior at the School for the Talented and Gifted, the Dallas Youth Creative Writing Spotlight is an opportunity for students to share their pieces with teens across the city. The Dallas Youth Creative Writing Spotlight is committed to giving young creative writers around the Dallas area a place to be recognized. Two submissions will be chosen to be exhibited. If you are one of the two winners, your full work will be available to the public on the Dallas Youth Commission Website, and an excerpt of your work will be showcased in the Dallas Youth Magazine. Recognized students will also receive a certificate to showcase their accomplishment.

Submissions can be kept anonymous, so don't let that stop you from submitting a piece you think may have an impact on readers. We are leaving the creative liberty to you; submit any piece you'd like. There are not content, length, or style restrictions. Happy writing!
