The Trinity Park Conservancy and Groundwork Dallas are recruiting high school students (ages 14-18) to promote and work towards environmental awareness, conservation projects, and community development. What makes this different from your typical part time job is the inclusion of education and teamwork. Once selected, you will be assigned to a crew composed of 13 students and 2 adult leaders. Leadership, problem solving skills, and the ability to work as a team are all traits that are not only required but also admired in this employment. Work will consist mostly outside in the field so being physically capable of hiking, lifting, stretching, and carrying heavy objects is very important. Members will be paid $11.15/hr for 30 hours a week, 7 total weeks and be paid every two weeks. Work will begin on June 15th and end on August 2nd. Feel proud and accomplished knowing that the work you and your crew contribute to directly benefits environments, communities, and people. It is simply the perfect summer employment if you want to fill a resume, create connections, be involved, or simply make money!
If this at all sounds intimidating don't stress, members will be trained in equipment and no prior experience is required. Transportation will also be provided.
