Every year, Dallas holds a district wide event to promote community involvement and police partnership with neighborhoods and people. That event being, ‘National Night Out’. National Night Out takes place in every district across Dallas and residents create and monitor multiple activities that they decide on. These activities can range anywhere from movie nights to community workshops! However, the intention remains the same; to promote community-police involvement.
This year National Night Out took place October 4th through the 7th. The Youth Commission participated and took place in workshops across Dallas.
We held tables in workshops, talked to families at movie nights, interacted with community leaders, and so much more!
Below are a few pictures of the great people we met, the places we were at, and the events we took part in. If you’re reading this, know that there are always activities you can be involved with. No matter who you are, what you do, or where you live, opportunities await!
